Text Box: The New Board was elected and took effect as of January 1, 2008. They are looking forward to serving the members of the association.  
Meet:
President       Doug Church. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
He may look familiar, he was the former Vice President of the CPCA. Doug Has been employed with Denver Police Department since 1982.  He became a K9 handler  in 1991.  He became the trainer for the department in 1995. Currently he is handling Arco, a Dutch Sheppard. Doug is also an active member of the National Police Canine association and is on the standards and Training committee.
 
Text Box: Vice President         Brian Loas                  Brian has been in law enforcement for 15 years and with Arvada Police Department for 12 years.  Brian has been a handler for 9 years. Now working his third police service dog Body. They just finished his academy in Dec. of '07. Body is a 2 years old  German Shepherd. Brian Has been a Metro rep. of the CPCA since its inception and previously served on the Standards committee.
 
Treasurer                  William  Manes                   Bill is also the former treasurer and has been since the CPCA began. I guess he is good with money. Bill has been a K9 Handler and Certified trainer since the 1970’s. Bill Moved to Colorado in the late 1990’s to retire ,but wasn’t quite ready to give up the job. Bill is currently the trainer and a handler for Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. He and his Belgium Malinios Partner Chewy, have been together since moving to the state.  
 
Secretary                   Kelly Pohl                                Kelly has been in law enforcement for just over 10 years and with Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for  8 years. Kelly became a K9 handler in 2003. She and Boomer, a Belgium Malinios, were trained by Bill Manes. Boomer is dual purpose in narcotics and the designated S.W.A.T. dog for their department. This is the first position with the association that Kelly has held.

A secure log in page will be working soon, for active members only. Please register now. A password will be assigned to you soon. New features  include a resource center &  training up dates.                       

Text Box: The annual Awards banquet dinner, which is normally set for mid-February. Has been Moved to Late March.   An Invitation will be forthcoming.
